Nicole Linn
Nicole believes that a strong therapeutic relationship begins with a client feeling authentically heard and validated without judgment.
Approach
Nicole believes in a collaborative and authentic therapeutic journey. Her style is direct and forthcoming, balanced with a passionate commitment to being her clients' biggest cheerleader. This unique combination helps her build genuine connections and empowers clients to feel heard and seen. She prioritizes a comfortable, laid-back, and homey environment, allowing clients to set the tone for their work.
For her adult clients, Nicole primarily uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), drawing from techniques in CBT and DBT. With children and families, she employs various play therapy techniques, including filial, directive, and non-directive approaches. A core insight that has guided her work is the universal tendency for people to be hard on themselves. Her approach is rooted in helping clients cultivate more self-compassion, which she has found is a catalyst for profound therapeutic work.
Nicole expects her clients to be active participants in their healing. She will challenge them when they are stuck and hold them accountable, always with the belief that they have the power to heal and become the best version of themselves.
Trust & Safety
Nicole believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is built on trust, which begins with a client feeling authentically heard and validated without judgment. In her sessions, her priority is to be fully present, helping clients process difficult emotions and navigate through them to the other side. This is a space where individuals can share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences—both good and bad—and feel they are not alone.
